Its time to start thinking SPRING! Think fresh and local.
Ojai Pixie Orange and Jalepeno Margarita
4 ounces jalapeño-infused silver tequila (Slice up a couple of Jalepenos and let them sit in Silver Tequila for a few hours- the longer the better 3 ounces fresh-squeezed Ojai Pixie orange juice- Of course you can substitute! 1 ounce fresh-squeezed lime juice 3 ounces Cointreau
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a cocktail glass. Optional garnish: salt the rim of the glass.
3 parts vodka -Great with Tequila too! 1 part (1/2 ounce) triple sec 1 part (1/2 ounce) watermelon-cucumber-mint juice
2 parts diced, seeded watermelon flesh 1 part (1 cup) peeled, seeded cucumber 2 sprigs mint (10-12 leaves)
Whir all ingredients together in a blender. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer. Discard pulp.
1 part (1/2 ounce) fresh lime juice
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a watermelon and/or cucumber slice and/or a sprig of mint.
